Chelsea star, Hakim Ziyech has responded fiercely to claims that the reason his proposed move to Saudi Arabia fell through was due to knee issues discovered during his Al-Nassr medical.
According to Football London, the 30-year-old appeared ready to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East on a long-term contract for about £8 million. But the agreement has since fallen through.
With Ziyech once again in a transfer limbo, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy have all had their exits confirmed.
A transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window appeared to be completed in the January transfer deadline day. But the deal fell through when the necessary paperwork to formally approve the transfer was not delivered in time.
Following a repetition of the unsuccessful transfer from earlier this year, the Moroccan has delivered a scathing response to claims that he is experiencing knee problems.
He wrote “knee problems right?” beside a shot of both of his knees on Instagram with two smiley face emojis.
Mauricio Pochettino set up a summer exodus strategy before arriving as the new Chelsea manager. And ten players have already departed, including Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic, with two more soon to follow.

The former Ajax player’s contract expires in 2025. Given the doubts many teams will likely have after learning of Al-Nassr’s discovery when conducting the medical tests.
Although Ziyech clearly considers those claims to be false, it is highly unlikely that any renewal is negotiated or an immediate transfer is sealed.
