‘I came like a king, left like a legend’ – Ibrahimovic confirms PSG exit

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed he will leave Paris Saint Germain ahead of what will be his final ever game at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.

The 34-year-old arrived in the French capital in 2012 and has gone on to become to club’s all-time top scorer as well as helping them to four successive Ligue 1 titles.

But it has long been rumoured Ibrahimovic would go elsewhere next season, and ahead of his final game in front of the PSG faithful he chose to confirm his exit in typically modest fashion.

‘My last game tomorrow at Parc des Princes. I came like a king, left like a legend,’ the Swedish striker wrote on Twitter.

Ibrahimovic will have a number of options this summer and could use Euro 2016, likely his last major tournament for Sweden, to improve his stock.

Earlier this week he admitted he was in talks with a number of clubs and a move to the Premier League is believed to be possible with Manchester United among his admirers.

Ibrahimovic said: ‘I have had lots [of offers],’ when asked last month if any English club had contacted his representatives.

The 34-year-old, who was named Ligue 1’s player of the season for the third year in a row this month has also hinted he could return to AC Milan, where he spent two seasons before arriving in Paris.

‘When I left Milan, it wasn’t my choice. I never wanted to leave,’ Ibra told Mediaset Premium on Tuesday.

‘I love Milan and in my view it’s the biggest club I ever played for. My exit from Milan is the past and this is the future, we’ll see what happens.

‘Could my future also be my past? You never know, but we’ll see in a little while and then everyone will know.’

Ibrahimovic has scored an incredible 111 goals in 121 Ligue 1 games for Paris
Saint Germain, and has won league titles in France, Italy, Spain and Holland during his remarkable career.

He scored his 36th league goal of the season in a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux on Saturday to move within one goal of Carlos Bianchi’s record of most goals in a French league season.

Ibrahimovic can lead PSG to another domestic treble this season when they face Marseille in the French Cup final on May 21.
