Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso sends message to “unlucky” Bellerin

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has sent a message of support to Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin after their clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Alonso opened the scoring as the Premier League leaders ran out 3-1 winners against Arsene Wenger’s side, with the Gunners boss unhappy with the Blues first goal.

The Spaniard headed home in the 13th minute after a strong challenge with Bellerin in which he caught the Arsenal full-back with his arm.

The 21-year-old had to be substituted due to concussion and Wenger was furious with referee Martin Atkinson for not disallowing the goal.

Alonso, who himself has since said he felt it was a fair challenge, sent a message of good will to Bellerin, hoping the Arsenal man returns to action soon.

Chelsea opened up a 12-point gap to Arsenal with their win at Stamford Bridge, with their closest challengers Tottenham nine points adrift in second place.
