The 47-year-old is said to munch through several packets of the sweets during the week at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground and had to quickly finish one before conducting his television interviews following Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Southampton.
Conte was dismayed to find that his favourite brand is not widely sold in the UK when he first arrived at Chelsea and quickly arranged a method of getting them into London.
The Ambrosoli company, which was founded in 1923, is based in Ronago, northwest of Milan on the border with Switzerland.
Having famously used a megaphone to shout instructions at his players during training when he first started out in coaching, Conte now relies solely on his voice.
With no European fixtures to worry about, Conte gave his voice and his players a two-day break after the victory over Southampton.
