Conte keen on N’Golo Kante to partner with Fabregas at Chelsea

Antonio Conte is keen to complete a deal to sign N’Golo Kante this summer and wants to pair the Frenchman with Cesc Fabregas in midfield for the coming campaign.

Kante has enjoyed a sensational spell in his first season in the Premier League, helping Leicester City to the Premier League title and earning a call up to the France squad for his summer’s European Championships.

The 25-year-old, who featured in all but one of the Foxes’ league matches last season, has been linked with a lost of sides but it appears Chelsea are the team that Kante wants to make the move to.

And according to the Telegraph incoming Blues manager Conte has already decided he wants to deploy Kante in the centre with Fabregas, who earns £200,000-a-week according to the Telegraph, while utilising a 4-2-4 formation at Stamford Bridge.

The move would see the midfield duo sitting deep while Eden Hazard and Willian, on the wings, would support Diego Costa and another striker up front, most likely to be Michy Batshuayi after he signed from Marseille at the weekend.

Kante is believed to have a release clause of around £20 million, having only joined Leicester last summer, and it seems that the midfielder will be a steal at that price after a successful first year in the English game.
