Hazard: Solo goal against Arsenal is one of the best I’ve scored

Eden Hazard has has hailed his brilliant solo effort for Chelsea against Arsenal is one of the best goals he’s ever scored.

The Belgian international picked the ball up from just inside his own half, shrugged off the challenge of Francis Coquelin before turning Laurent Koscielny inside out a couple of times then fired an effort past former teammate Petr Cech and into the net.

It was the 26-year-old’s 10th goal of an impressive Premier League campaign on a personal level as well as from a club’s perspective and he’s hailed the strike as one of the best in his career to date.

“I score a few goals, a few beautiful goals,” Hazard told Chelsea TV, as reported by Sky Sports.

“But this one is special. It’s against Arsenal and we won the game. This one is one of the best.”

Hazard’s goal early in the second half at Stamford Bridge came at the perfect time for the Blues as it allowed them to gain full control of the game against the Gunners and they were never in danger of allowing such a commanding lead to slip.

Despite Olivier Giroud’s late consolation, the damage had already been done by the home side thanks to goals from Marcos Alonso and former Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas which has seen Antonio Conte’s side open up a nine-point lead at the top of the table.
