Ibrahimovic gives his verdict on Terry missing Chelsea and PSG clash

Paris Saint-Germain’s talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic expects a tough game for his side against Chelsea today despite John Terry’s absence through injury.

Terry, 35, sustained a hamstring injury during the Blues 5-1 win over Newcastle United last month and has missed their last three Premier League fixtures as well as the first leg against PSG three weeks ago.

Chelsea’s skipper ruled himself out of contention via his official Instagram account earlier yesterday but while most people will see his absence as a big blow for Guus Hiddink’s side, Ibrahimovic doesn’t seem to think it will be a major issue.

Zlatan on no Terry: “The last game was not easy without him. If he doesn’t play, I think it will be the same quality of Chelsea”

At the Parc Des Princes, Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill were selected at the heart of Chelsea’s defence in place of the unavailable Terry and Kurt Zouma, and although they lost the game 2-1, the duo were praised for their performances.

The pair won 86% of their headers, made 16 clearances and eight blocks between them and a similarly resolute defensive performance will be needed if Chelsea are to progress to the quarter-finals.

They have also started all three of the Blues’ league matches, but perhaps troublingly, Chelsea have conceded a goal in each of those games.
