Neymar turned to social media to send a message of support to his team-mates, and to castigate those who will criticise the Selecao after they crashed out of the Copa America to Peru.
Raul Ruidiaz scored in the 75th minute at Foxborough Stadium, but later TV replays showed it was a blatant handball.
It’s the first time Brazil has lost at the group stage in almost 30 years, and the Barcelona striker foresaw much criticism being directed towards the team because of their performance.
“No one knows what we have gone through to be there and defend the Selecao,” Neymar posted on Instagram.
“To wear the national team shirt is an honour and you have all done that with love.
“Now a whole lot of people are going to start talking s—, they can go to hell.
“Football is like this. “I am Brazilian and I will go to the end with you.”
