Pogba Manchester United transfer to completed before Community Shield

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants the world-record transfer of Paul Pogba to be completed by the time they face Leicester City in the Community Shield final at Wembley on August 7th.

It was widely reported yesterday that United had opened talks over a world record £100 million deal for the France international.

The midfielder left Old Trafford four years ago when he joined Juventus on a free transfer, but he could now return as the most expensive player in the entire history of the game.

According to the Telegraph, Mourinho is determined to get the transfer completed and signed off by August 7th when United face Leicester in the Community Shield final.

This gives the Red Devils just a month to negotiate the biggest deal in history, which may prove to be difficult.

Real Madrid are also interested in Pogba and believe that he favours a move to the Bernabeu over Old Trafford, though the Spaniards do fear that they could be priced out of a deal by their rivals in Manchester.

The Red Devils seem determined not to miss out on another big-name target having previously tried to sign Toni Kroos, Cesc Fabregas and Neymar, and Madrid fear that they United’s offer to Juventus is one that simply cannot be turned down.
