Valencia set to return against Arsenal after miraculous recovery

Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia is way ahead of schedule in his recovery from a broken arm and could feature against Arsenal at Old Trafford on November 19th.

The Ecuadorian’s been out of action for just over two weeks after fracturing his arm against Manchester City.

United were unsure over the severity of the injury and refused to put a date on the 31-year-old’s return.

Valencia’s missed games against Fenerbahce, Burnley and Swansea during the last fortnight and Jose Mourinho has had to call on Matteo Darmian in his absence.

According to the Daily Mail, United are shocked at Valencia’s recovery and believe he could return for the showdown clash against the Gunners on Saturday.

Having criticised Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw for not playing through the pain barrier against Swansea City, Mourinho will be delighted to see that Valencia’s ready to throw himself back in the mix.
