Chelsea have reportedly opened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar Jr ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to reports in France, the Brazilian superstar is attracting interest from the Blues, who are ready to negotiate with PSG to sign the player.
Although the Brazil international was only available for 29 games across all competitions this season. He nevertheless contributed an outstanding 31 goal involvement in those games.
Neymar, who reportedly earns about £600,000 per week, might join Lionel Messi in leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer. This is if a team can afford to match his lofty demands.
In a story published two weeks ago in the French publication L’Equipe, it was reported that Man Utd and the Brazilian international were in “advanced talks”. And that PSG are willing to sell him.
The following day, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano stated that there had been “no talks” with the Man Utd current owners regarding a deal for Neymar.
Romano wrote in his Caught Offside column: “There are no negotiations ongoing between Manchester United and PSG for Neymar as of now. Nothing concrete, no talks… at least with current owners/board. PSG already discussed Neymar’s exit internally, and are looking for a solution this summer.
Le10 Sport, a French outlet, now asserts that Premier League side Chelsea “has just contacted PSG to officially open negotiations” over a deal for Neymar, who joined PSG for €222 million in 2017.

PSG are reportedly “listening” to Chelsea’s bid and are “not close to the idea of letting Neymar leave this summer.”
Despite earlier rumors, they could be open to accepting a loan agreement or modest bid to get Neymar off their wage bill.
