Chelsea’s five-game losing streak finally came to an end with goals from Kai Havertz (£7.7m) and Mason Mount (£7.5m). However, the victory was overshadowed by Reece James’ injury (£5.8m), which surely gave many FPL managers a nasty case of déjà vu.
Elsewhere, Rashford continued his improved club performances for Man United.
Alongside an enticing first three fixtures back, this attracted a lot of FPL managers back to the 25-year-old.
It took 20 minutes for him to score, as a well-rehearsed corner routine saw Christian Eriksen (£6.3m) pass the ball to Rashford’s cool finish by the penalty spot.
Then, within three minutes, it was a double-digit return. Down the left-hand side, he passed to Martial, whose fairly weak shot went through the defender’s legs and was scrambled over the line by goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey (£3.9m).
FPL’s highest-scoring midfielder, Miguel Almiron (£5.8m), continued his scarcely believable run of form with his ninth goal of the season.
Kieran Trippier (£5.9m) is doing his best to keep pace with his team-mate, contributing his fifth assist of the campaign with the whipped corner that Joelinton (£5.9m) nodded home.
Finally, Haaland (£12.2m) scored twice in Man City’s win over Leeds to take his tally to 20 PL goals.
iSoccer GW17 Winners
Back from the World Cup hiatus, Gameweek 17 will make one part of the double gameweek in the iSoccer Christmas mini-league.
Gameweek 18 which runs into the new year will see us reward three lucky managers with N10,000 as the December winners.
