Jamie Carragher Advises PSG Star To Leave The Club

Following Paris Saint-second Germain’s early exit from the UEFA Champions League, Jamie Carragher thinks Kylian Mbappe needs to quit the French team.

With a 1-0 deficit to Bayern Munich going into the return leg, PSG had little success in the opposition’s goal, and both Lionel Messi and Mbappe were kept at bay.

At the end of the encounter, it was Bayern who ran the show with a comfortable 2-0 win all thanks to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Serge Gnabry’s strikes.

The PSG team was visibly devastated as the final whistle blew, with the realization of their second consecutive Champions League last-16 exit sunk in, after they were eliminated by Real Madrid at the same stage last season.

While speaking on CBS Sports Champions League coverage, Carragher stressed how happy he was that PSG had lost, while also stating that Mbappe should look for a challenge elsewhere.

In his post-match remarks, the pundit said: “To be honest, I’m delighted PSG have gone out.

“I just don’t like the whole setup and everything about it. It’s not a team, they’re just a mess. Five years out of seven, they’ve gone out in the last-16.”

He added: “They spend more money than anyone – they have the best players in the world, and you know what, it’s brilliant because it just shows how important it is to be a team.”

Carragher finished by boldly emphasizing: “Kylian Mbappe has got to leave that club.”

In actuality, despite signing a new mega-contract in July, last year, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see the attacker move to Spain next season given Real Madrid’s known interest in the Frenchman.
