Klopp Fires Warning To Arsenal Despite Draw Against Chelsea

Arsenal has been forewarned by Jurgen Klopp that his team is prepared to recover on Sunday following their abject showing against Chelsea.

Tuesday’s stalemate at Stamford Bridge was very fortunate for Liverpool. Chelsea scored twice in the game, but were over-ruled. Reece James’ goal was nullified due to Enzo Fernandez being just slightly offside. And Kai Havertz was penalised for elbowing the ball over the goal line.

In their last eight Premier League games on the road, Liverpool has only won once. But at Anfield, things are different. In Merseyside, the Reds have won three straight league games. Including their historic 7-0 victory over Manchester United the previous time out.

Therefore, Klopp is optimistic that his underperforming players will perform against league-leading Arsenal on Sunday. With seven wins in a row, the Gunners led Manchester City by eight points at the summit of the Premier League. Even though they have played more games than City.

What Did Klopp Say About Liverpool’s Upcoming Game Against Arsenal?

“The next game is Arsenal,” noted Klopp as claimed by Mirror after Tuesday’s stalemate.

“I don’t know exactly where Arsenal were last year, but they are now obviously flying. In incredible shape, play super football, honestly, that is really good to watch.

“But we are there. It is a home game and our home record is not as bad as the away record. It means I am really looking forward to this game now because tonight I saw a step and that’s what I wanted.

“Now let’s carry on. Anfield is waiting for us and we want to deliver.

“We have another 10 games to play and the next one is Arsenal. Not the other nine, I am not interested in. But the next one is Arsenal, so if we are difficult to beat against Arsenal we can win this game. If not, Arsenal will just go over us and then we will see.”
