Klopp Reacts To Salah’s Saudi Arabia Transfer Links

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the club have not received an offer from Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah. And he insists the Egyptian is “100 percent” focused at the club.

Al Ittihad, the defending Saudi Pro League champions, have publicly expressed interest in Salah, 31. And they are reportedly considering a staggering £100 million offer.

The Egyptian forward has a new three-year deal with Liverpool that keeps him at Anfield until 2025. Thus the Reds are sure that he is not for sale.

In a report by The Mirror, Al Ittihad and any other potential bidders have been warned off by Klopp in his pre-match press conference ahead of a league meeting with Newcastle.

He said: “There’s nothing to talk about from our point of view, Mo Salah is a Liverpool player, if there would be something the answer would be no.”

When asked if Salah was committed to Liverpool, the Reds boss replied: “100 per cent.”

Recent rumors of Al Ittihad’s interest in moving for Salah prompted his agent to sever relations to such a transfer.

“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer,” Ramy Abbas tweeted. “Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

The 31-year-old’s new contract, which pays him about £350,000 per week, made him the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history. And he hasn’t indicated that he wants to leave.

Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, two of Salah’s former Reds teammates, have left Anfield this summer to join Saudi clubs, Al Ettifaq and Al Ittihad respectively.
