Lionel Messi Wife Hands Cristiano Ronaldo A Huge Favour As Argentine Decides Future

It appears almost certain that Lionel Messi will leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the conclusion of the season as his relationship with the Ligue 1 team deteriorates following his suspension for an unauthorized travel to Saudi Arabia by the club.

There have been rumors about where he could be playing next, with moves to the USA, the Middle East, and even a sensational return to Barcelona all being mentioned.

Messi has been widely linked with a move to Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al-Hilal after they reportedly handed the 35-year-old the richest deal in football history to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the same league once again.

After his contract with Manchester United was terminated, the Portuguese forward joined Al Nassr at the end of last year, and it was hoped that the two could once again become rivals.

Will Messi Join Ronaldo In Saudi Arabia?

However, Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo, reportedly “can’t imagine” moving their family to Saudi Arabia, according to L’Equipe.

They have lived in Barcelona and Paris for the duration of her husband’s career, and she is apparently reluctant to move there with their three sons. Instead, she would prefer to stay in Europe.

Messi could decline Al-Hilal’s approach as he is unlikely to upset his family over a sporting decision. Meanwhile, Barcelona have been open about their desire to get him back to the Nou Camp.

Ronaldo would, therefore, have less competition for honors in the region if Messi were to reject a move to Saudi Arabia, which would be a positive for him.

With with four games left, his Al Nassr team is already having trouble catching title-holders Al-Ittihad as they are five points behind.

Ronaldo’s prospects of winning the league title could be further hampered if he faces another challenge from Messi.

The ego of the regular winner would definitely take a knock if he were to leave the country without any titles.
