Man United To Bank £900M In Record Breaking Deal

The agreement between Manchester United and Adidas has been extended for an additional 10 years.

In what is the most valuable contract in Premier League history, United’s agreement with the German sportswear company to supply its official uniforms continues through 2035. And “has a minimum cash guarantee of £900million, subject to certain adjustments,” the team said.

“It is very natural for us to continue our cooperation,” Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden said. “We will combine tradition and innovation to please both the players and the fans.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with one of the most iconic clubs in football.”

In the event where the club is up for sale, the agreement for the single largest source of revenue for the club guarantees stability. United’s American ownership is currently weighing offers from English businessman Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.
