Paris Saint-Germain ‘Trying To Beat Liverpool To Jude Bellingham’

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old is widely anticipated to leave BVB next year, with a number of top European clubs reportedly interested in signing him before the 2023-24 season.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all rumoured to be interested in the England international, but Liverpool appears to be the most interested.

According to a recent report, the Reds are getting more confident in signing the teenager, with a deal possibly being done during the January transfer window.

However, according to El Nacional, PSG are eager to sign the highly-rated kid before Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer of 2023.

How Well Has Bellingham Played For Dortmund?

Bellingham has shown excellent form for Dortmund since joining from Birmingham City in 2020, scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists in 90 appearances across all competitions.

Last season, the midfielder netted six goals and assisted 14 times in 44 appearances for his German club across all competitions, including three goals and eight assists in 32 Bundesliga games.

Dortmund are unlikely to let the teenager go for less than €100m (£85m), and there have been reports that their asking price could increase if he has another strong season.

Bellingham also played for England in UEFA Nations League matches in June, and he will be part of the squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Who Else Will PSG Likely Sign This Summer?

PSG have been rather quiet in the transfer market this summer, but they have strengthened their team with the additions of Vitinha, Nordi Mukiele, and Hugo Ekitike, while Nuno Mendes’ loan deal has been made permanent.

This summer has seen much speculation about Neymar’s future, but the Brazilian international is widely anticipated to stay in Paris past the deadline.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe turned down the chance to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in order to sign a new and lucrative contract with the French champions.
