Paul Pogba: Juventus midfielder Opts Against Surgery To Boost His World Cup Hopes

Paul Pogba will not require surgery on his knee injury and he could be back in action for Juventus within weeks. However, he is poised to miss time after suffering a lateral meniscus tear that forced him to miss the club’s tour of the United States.

Pogba will miss at least the opening few weeks of the Serie A season to recover and receive treatment.

He returned to Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United earlier this summer.

What Is Pogba’s Injury Treatment Schedule?

Rather than having surgery, Pogba will now begin a five-week training schedule in preparation for his now-postponed Juventus comeback.

The Frenchman will receive conservative therapy aimed at reducing recovery timelines, with gym and pool rehab serving as the first step.

The second part will see him return to the pitch to prepare individually for a possible return to the field.

Pogba will miss Juventus’ season opener against Sassuolo on August 15.

Juve’s Happy To Have Pogba

Aside from the injury, Turin is excited about the return of a player who helped the club to Serie A domination during his first spell.

Pogba might not have felt valued at Manchester United, but he has surely been showered with love at Juventus.

“Paul is back in Turin,” the club said when he arrived. “He left as a boy and returns as a man and a champion, but there is one thing that has not changed – the desire to write unforgettable pages of club history together once more. Pogba is back and we couldn’t be happier.”
