Paul Pogba Set To Complete Juventus Return On Free Transfer After Leaving Manchester United

Paul Pogba is set to return to Juventus as a free agent, according to GOAL, with the World Cup winner ready to retrace his steps back to Turin after his contract with Manchester United expires.

Between 2012 and 2016, the 29-year-old midfielder spent four years with the Bianconeri, gaining such a high profile in Italy that a world record transfer fee of £89 million (£112 million) was necessary to bring him back to Old Trafford for a second spell.

He is now set to return to familiar surroundings in Serie A, with one more meeting required before a contract can be tabled and signed.

What Is The Length Of Pogba’s Contract At Juventus?

As it became clear that Pogba would be leaving United due to a lack of agreement on a new contract, a number of clubs indicated interest in signing him.

Some of them have tried to outbid Juventus for a prized signature, but the Italian giants have rebuffed their rivals’ advances in order to reach an agreement.

Pogba is expected to sign a three-year contract until 2025, with terms worth roughly €7.5 million per season (£6 million/$8 million).

Why Is Paul Pogba Returning To Juventus?

The France star has assured the Bianconeri that he will return to their ranks and that he will not have a last-minute change of heart.

He is convinced that he is making the best career move possible, having notified close family and friends of his decision.

Pogba liked his previous stint at Juventus, winning four Serie A titles in a row, and hopes to improve on his previous record in Turin, when he scored 34 goals in 178 appearances.

Massimiliano Allegri has gotten the best out of him in the past, when the highly-rated strategist initially took on a rigorous managerial role in 2014, and the two are now set to reconnect.

Juve’s management has pushed hard for Pogba’s signing, as the Bianconeri try to rebound from two fourth-place finishes, and the Bianconeri board is ready to deliver a headline acquisition.

Despite winning three trophies in his first season back in Manchester, things did not go as planned for the mercurial Frenchman, and he will be eager to reignite a spark with another fiercely ambitious outfit.
