Danny Murphy has warned Premier League teams to be particularly wary of Man City if they sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham United.
The pundit discussed the possibility of the Brazilian international joining City on the FIVE YouTube channel after it was reported on Thursday that the deal is “advanced.”
Fabrizio Romano also revealed on Wednesday that the versatile attacker ‘would love to’ sign for the treble-winners Man City this summer.
While the possibility of Lucas Paqueta becoming a Manchester City player has divided opinion amongst many, Danny Murphy believes the proposed transfer could be a smashing success.
The Italian journalist also made the claim that Pep Guardiola has ‘always been a fan’ of the 25-year-old, branded as ‘mind-boggling’ by Declan Rice (via Evening Standard).

Now, Danny Murphy has backed Lucas Paqueta to be a blockbuster hit at Manchester City, if the move comes to fruition.
“At City? Easy!”, he initially said about the prospect of Paqueta doubling his numbers at the Etihad Stadium.
Murphy continued, “And he’s got plenty. I fear for the rest of the league if City get someone like him.”
However, unlike Danny Murphy, there have been many sceptics when it comes to judging Lucas Paqueta as a potential addition at Manchester City.
