Real Madrid Keeping An Eye On Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, with the Canada international seen as a potential future signing.

The 21-year-old joined Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018 and has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the world during his time at Allianz Arena.

Davies has been a key player for the Bundesliga giants this season, making 12 appearances across all competitions and contributing two assists.

Meanwhile, he has made 127 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and assisting on 21 others.

While playing for the club, Davies has won four Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokal trophies, and the Champions League. His contract is still valid for three more years.

According to Marca, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the Canadian and hope to bring him to the Bernabeu at some point in the future.

Los Blancos have several options at left back, with Ferland Mendy being the main choice, although David Alaba and Nacho can also play there.

However, there has recently been concern about Mendy’s future, with talks about a new deal for the 27-year-old said to have halted.

Over the summer, the Frenchman was linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, with Manchester United and Chelsea both expressing an interest ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Davies has played eight times in the Bundesliga this season, as well as three times in the Champions League, but he did not play against Viktoria Plzen last week due to a head injury.

The defender has also had an excellent international career, appearing in 34 games for the Reds and scoring 12 goals.
