Real Madrid Learn Possible Dates For Club World Cup Fixtures

Real Madrid have learned the potential dates and location for their FIFA Club World Cup journey, per a Mundo Deportivo article.

Typically held in December, the tournament puts the winners of continental club competitions against one another.

The Club World Cup, however, has been postponed by football’s governing body due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar taking up the calendar this year.

And, so far, an official announcement of the dates and the possible venues is yet to be made, with very little information emerging on the schedule of the Club World Cup.

However this year, the FIFA Club World Cup could be held in Abu Dhabi from February 1 to February 11 in 2023.

Real Madrid qualified for the tournament after winning the UEFA Champions League last season. The Merengues will be the representatives of Europe at the Club World Cup and will enter the competition in the semi-final stages.

Real Madrid are the most successful team when it comes to the FIFA Club World Cup, having won the competition a record four times.

Apart from Carlo Ancelotti’s side, Brazilian giants Flamengo have also qualified for the tournament after winning the Copa Libertadores

Meanwhile, MLS outfit Seattle Sounders and Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca have also made it to the FIFA Club World Cup along with Auckland City from New Zealand.
